Dr. Laura Martin Dr. Martin has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1988 and opened Prime Care Animal Hospital in 1998. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from the University of Florida, she went on to graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 with a D.V.M. also from the University of Florida. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Martin moved to Annapolis, Maryland in 1990 after practicing in Daytona Beach for two years. Presently, Dr. Martin has a Golden Retriever, Carson. In her spare time she enjoys bicycling, kayaking, and hiking.
Theresa Roche Theresa has been with Prime Care since it's opening in 1998. Having worked as a technician for over twenty years she brought a great deal of knowledge and experience to the practice. Her special interests are surgery and exotics. Her household currently includes two cats and one and a "half" dogs. Her newest addition, a German Shepherd named Camo is an aspiring search and rescue dog. Her other interests, besides training her search dog, include gardening, photography, and motorcycle riding.
Kelly Frost Kelly has worked as a veterinary receptionist since 1997 and started working at Prime Care in 2001. She is a horse lover and used to ride competitively. Her household includes her husband, two sons, two cats, two dogs, and a guinea pig. She enjoys gardening, reading, and taking long walks with her Boxer, Miniature Poodle as well as her two boys, John and Jason.
Sue Williams Sue has worked in the veterinary profession longer than she will admit, but has worked with Prime Care since 2004. She is the proud "Mom" of two cats, a German Shepherd and a Labrador Retriever . She volunteers at Hospice of the Chesapeake in the area of child/teen bereavement and is a state certified motorcycle safety instructor.
Jackie Parker Jackie came to Prime Care in 2006. At that time she was new to the veterinary field, but had been in the thrall of animals for many years. She has "been owned" by many animals over the years to include a Rottweiler as well as multiple cats, Amos, Sammie, and Taffy. In her spare time she enjoys going camping with her husband and their "camping friends". She also enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters, as well as baking and gardening.
Holley Engbert Holley has been with Prime Care since 2006. She is a full-time pre-vet student who has worked in the Veterinary field since 2001. She also has her own pet-sitting business. Her brood includes two German Shepherds, Luke and Kayla, one cat, Rowdy, one horse, Treva, and an iguana named Spike. Being a student she has very little spare time, but spends as much time as possible riding her horse.
Ruth General Ruth has had a love for animals for many years. She joined the Prime Care team in 2006 as a part time receptionist. She has had several boa constrictors and now enjoys playing with her two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Labrador Retriever as well as two cats that keep her on her toes. She is also state certified motorcycle safety instructor.
Christina Blough Christina started working at Prime Care in 2007. She had recently joined the veterinary field but has been a long time animal lover. She and her husband of 20+ years are kept busy by their daughter and son as well as their two Boston Terriers, Kaylee and Luke, and one mini Dachshund, Bella.
Julie Faudree Julie was new to the Prime Care team in 2007, but had worked as a technician for over five years. She and her husband have two children, two dogs, and four cats. In the little spare time she does have, she enjoys playing on the computer.
